Built by workshop people.

The trade has been ignored by SaaS for two decades. We built PitlaneHQ because we got tired of waiting for the rest of the industry to catch up.

Why we built it

The big workshop platforms were built by software companies. PitlaneHQ was built by people who've actually held a torque wrench, chased a missing PO, and watched a payment bounce on a Tuesday afternoon. The product is shaped by what workshops do — not by what a product manager thinks they should do.

We started because the existing tools were either spreadsheets that broke at 50 jobs a week, or enterprise platforms priced for fleets and dressed up as small-business software. We wanted something honest in the middle.

Where it's built

Australian-made. Hosted in Australia. Support answered by Australians. Currency, tax, and date formats are AU/NZ-native — no "localisation" veneer over a US product. The audit log records actions in 24-hour time. The dollar sign is in the right place. GST is inclusive on every customer-facing number, the way the ATO expects it.

Who's behind it

A small team of engineers, ex-workshop owners, and one stubborn designer. We talk to workshop owners every week. The roadmap reflects what we hear — not what we project from a quarterly planning offsite.

How we run

Monthly billing. Cancel any time. Free data import from MechanicDesk, Workshop Software, and Tekmetric. No phone-tree support, no "your call is important to us" queues — just real humans on email and SMS during AU business hours.

Our mission: give every workshop in Australia and NZ the tools to run their business without fighting their software.
