Pricing
Is there a free trial?
Yes. 14 days, full access to the Base Plan, no credit card required. If you don't subscribe at the end, your data stays put — you can subscribe later and pick up where you left off.
How does billing work?
Monthly billing in AUD via Stripe. The Base Plan is required ($99/mo inc GST); add-on modules (Analytics, Multi-Site, Marketing, POS, HR & Payroll, AI) toggle on and off any time. You only pay for what you use.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes — cancel any module or your whole subscription from Settings. No cancellation fees, no lock-in contract. Access continues to the end of the current billing period.
Setup
How long does setup take?
Most workshops are running on PitlaneHQ within a day. We import your customers, vehicles, and stock from your old tool, walk you through Diary and Jobs, and you're live before knock-off.
Do you charge a setup fee?
No setup fee. No data import fee. No onboarding fee. The trial is the onboarding.
Do I need to install anything?
No. PitlaneHQ runs in the browser on any device — desktop, iPad on the bench, phone in the bay. Native iOS and Android apps are on the roadmap.
Imports
Can you import from MechanicDesk / Workshop Software / Tekmetric?
Yes. Free data import for all three — customers, vehicles, jobs, invoices, stock. We've done it dozens of times. Send us a CSV export and we'll have it loaded within a few hours.
Will I lose history when I switch?
No. Service history is what makes a workshop sticky to its customers — we import every job, every invoice, every reminder, with the original dates intact.
Support
Where is support based?
Australia. Real humans, AU business hours, email and SMS. No phone tree, no offshore script.
What's your response time?
Most enquiries are answered within 2 hours during AU business hours; everything within 24. Critical issues are escalated immediately.
Security
Where is my data stored?
In Australia. Hosted on Microsoft Azure in the AU East region. Encrypted in transit and at rest using strong, industry-standard encryption. Daily automated backups, point-in-time recovery up to 35 days.
Who can see my workshop's data?
Only you and the users you invite. Each workshop is logically isolated — there's no shared tenant database, no cross-workshop queries, no platform-wide data exposure. We don't use your data for advertising or model training.
What happens if you go bust?
You can export every record you own — customers, vehicles, jobs, invoices — as CSV any day of the week, no escape clause needed.
